Vuuch For Microsoft Project
The Vuuch for Microsoft Project plug-in will connect project details to any project plan.
The Problem
Every project manager knows that if the project plan is to detailed it becomes nearly impossible to update and if there is not enough detail then the plan has limited value. In speaking with project teams we find that they maintain both a project plan and some sort of project list (referred to as an issue list, action list or some internal name) that tracks the finite details that the team is focused on resolving. We also find that the items being tracked on these lists account for the majority of project related email. While it is clear these items impact the project plan, it is also clear that the list is not at all connected to the project plan, which creates a clear problem with respect to understanding the impact the details have on the overall plan.
The Solution
The Vuuch add-in for Microsoft Project connects the detailed items a team is tracking in some sort of issue list directly to the Microsoft Project plan. Watch the quick video to get an idea of how this works.
Detailed Overview
After installing the Vuuch plug-in for Microsoft Prject, open any project and Vuuch the project. A Vuuch Page will be created for each Microsoft Project Task and each task will be organized within Vuuch using the same structure as the project plan. Now that the plan is represented in Vuuch the team can start creating Vuuch Activities from within the project plan using the plug-in, using a web browser or by importing existing issues from Excel.
